Bought these for a major upgrade project for a cort bass of mine. also replaced the on-board preamp.
The change is dramatic in comparison with the stock pickups and electronics.
Much fuller, 3 dimensional sound. very polished full bodied sound with wide range and nice treble. in passive mode they have a somewhat vintage character with lesser treble response. then when paired with a nice preamp you get the full spectrum and pickup sound possibilities. more modern sound in active mode. beautiful slap sound... great fingerstyle tone... both passive and active operation modes are very useful options.

build quality is excellent.

J'avais acheté d'occasion une Cort Curbow mais le micro et l'électronique était HS. J'ai mis ce micro Bartolini 5 cordes sur cette basse 4 cordes en mode passif sans correction de tonalité, avec un switch pour passer de mode parallèle à mode série. Le son est très bon :
- Doux en mode parallèle
- Punchy avec beaucoup de brillance en mode série
J'ai pris un micro pour 5 cordes au lieu de 4 cordes pour assurer que la largeur de captation soit suffisante. Sur la Cort Curbow, la largeur des cordes est très proches des limites d'un micro Bartolini 4 cordes.
J'ai une basse, de simplicité biblique, qui est relativement polyvalente et sans buzz
