Behringer RS-9

The Behringer RS-9 is in its essence the sequencer section of an RD-9 drum machine. It has an attractive (and quite different) design and user interface, borrowing heavily on the original.
The feature set is comprehensive and you can spend a long time digging into the funtions and programming complex rythm tracks. The very thin manual ensures that this part will take even longer. But you cannot blaim a recreated classic for being true to the original.
I have only two complaints. The minor one being that the colour on the front plate comes off very easily. More importantly, I find it strange that Behringer has not taken the opportunity to provide a Eurorack module containing the other half of the RD-9: The sounds. While you can trigger any drum module from the RS-9, a cheap box of sounds would be a great start.
