Grounding problem?
With active pickups the cable will make less noise but whenever i play a guitar with passive pickups i simple cannot turn up the volume at all (almost). The noise sounds like a grounding problem from the guitar.
But since it was faster and cheaper i bought a high end cable and to my suprise the issue was fixed. Idk if this is just a faulty cable but i wont by another one just to see if it is. Nor would i spend the time sending it back to Thomann for "repair". It is what it is.
Conclussion: Playable with active pickups. Not even an option if u have passive pickups.
