Bartolini pick ups are great! But this bass comes with Mark Bass active circuit. You won't be able to get a warm and round sound. Metallic, honky sound and lots of string noise instead!

I was able to confront this bass with a Cort Artisan B4 that has Bartolini active pre-amp and there is a huge difference. Much more complete and interesting in sound options.
