The best sounding strings I have ever used

I use the super long version on my 35” Lakeland 55-02.
They are bright, but has a lot of tone and depth.
I use them for slap, finger, plektrum. I is like my bass got ekstra punch and more sustain.
Why overall 4 stars: They are expensive, and do not last long for me.
E is 100 and A is 80 I would like this to be 105 and 85, I find those two strings a bit weaker than the rest of the set.

A warning for dingwall owners

The B string is not tapered. The problem is that if you take NYXL45130SL 5-string set, then 5 string simply does not fit into NG/Combustion bridge. Take a set of Daddario NYXL45100SL instead and in addition to it purchase a separate string NYXLB130TSL. T letter is important. It means that the string is tapered at the bridge side and can fit into it.
Soundwise nothing special. I get used to Dingwall Stainless steal strings, so these sound a bit warmer and less agresive in highs. Unfortunately, I cannot compare them with the original dingwall nickel strings, but based on my memories it sounds similar. Will see how long they can last.

For me they are the best

I exclusively use these strings on all my basses. Primarily, I play an Ibanez EHB 5-string, and I’ve found these strings to offer the most exceptional feel and playability of any I’ve tried so far. They deliver a perfect balance of tone, responsiveness, and comfort, making them my definitive choice.

Gritty, angry, warm, deep for my BTB625EX

I use Fedora roundwound (4 string), Roto 66 (4 string) and now D' addario NYXL (5 string). What I like about the D'addario strings is that they have a long life. I play with a pick. I prefer the crispness each string articulates with every note. Harmonics sound great, though probably would not if your bass has less than perfect intonation, so keep that in mind. The strings do not cost as much as other 5 string brands and more than others. It is a matter of playing many various brand of strings to find what works for you; just like with finding the bass best suited for you. Dingwall users have expressed unhappiness and frustration with this particular brand of string because they are too short. If you own a Dingwall and want to try out these strings, do your research before making the purchase. These strings work well for my 35in scale bass.
