I never use anything else
After I tried the elixir strings I never use anything else.
I add the .130TW. Fifth string.
In the old days I used Ernie Ball steel strings, mostly because I could clean the by boiling them.
I can kill a normal set of strings within 2 weeks. So none coated strings goes from too bright to numb and untuneable way to fast. The elixir doesn't sound to bright when they are new. Within a week they sound great and stays there for a long time. I change them when they become untuneable not because the sound bad.
I use extra long because of a 35" scale base.
The .130 is a bit too long so the winding is bulky. But the long scale is a bit too short.

Best strings ever
Jeg er vild med dem. De bedste strenge jeg har brugt. Lyder sprøde og lækre i LANG tid. Jeg har primært brugt dem på jb-modeller, og her lyder de fantastiske.

THE modern strings
I use them mostly on my Sire m7 35 inch bass (through body). They sound great and sustain for ever.
