Fender 9050L

Bought a DYI P-bass kit from this site and obviously wanted to string it up with some flat wounds. Definitely worth it. However, there's a certain stickyness/grippyness to the strings when they're brand new but it seems like it's slowly wearing off.

Great for that Pino Palladino sound and they do well for other stuff as well. Not the greatest for slapping, obviously, but apart from that they're great!

I use it on my P-bass Vintera II 1960´s (rosewood board) and it work great (steel / hexcore - 45-100).

If you have not yet tried flatwound strings on your bass, you can start with these good low-cost ones.
It's a pleasure to play with them.
Smooth feel, fret noise is gone, good sound.
Personally I don't see a need to use regular strings anymore.

It's like having your fingertips licked by gentle unicorns, massaged by wanton maidens/masters, caressed by ethereal elven creatures...

I can't much of the sound yet, as I haven't played them through a decent setup yet.
