For those moments you lose your original wingnut, you found out they're worn, or in my case: replace ridiculously big wingnut (twice the size of these) from strange clamps to make them better placable.
The 8mm is is d on a whole ran e of drum hardware from most brands, so having these as spares is a no-brainer.
Quality is top, price is decent for two of these per purchase.
I bought these as replacements for some plastic wing nuts that I had the misfortune to come across... I'm not sure when the plastic trend started but standard wing nuts were never bits of kit that I wished were redesigned. These are solid and chunky and do the job in a commendably forgettable fashion.
Fits very well on Pearl and Yamaha stands, the Sonor 400 series stands I have seem to use smaller diameter threading. Sonor also uses cool looking semi-circular wing nuts, so I'd probably use their own if replacements were ever required.
If you need replacement wing nuts, like I did, then these are great.
After years of setting up and tearing down, the thread in some of the wing nuts from my cymbal stands had worn. These Gibraltar 8mm Wing Nuts are a great replacement. They are well made from quality metal and feel like they will last at least as long as the Premier originals that they are replacing.
My cymbal stands should have a few more years of life in them now.
