A very useful and perfunctory item. For those wishing to build a custom rack or extend a purchased rack - this is the one for you.
With its solid chrome construction it will allow extending height to your drum rack legs.
I have used it on my kit to add a large China cymbal towards the back of my kit as its not something which is used all the time but still needs to be easily accessible at times.
It will allow attachments of a number of items depending on the length of the pipe added and angles required.
Regardless of the length of your pipe extension you will be sure that anything attached to it will remain stable and not wobble during performances.
This is a very simple idea and solution to a drummers problem.
The build and quality of the clamp are excellent for the price.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this product to any aspiring purchaser.
I bought this clamp just to connect 2 shorter rack pipes into 1 longer pipe.
I read 'Extension clamp', so I thought I might be good.
But after seeing a video of that Gibraltar guy explicitely warning this should not be used as a horizontal extension when you're going to put weight on it (and that's what almost everyone does), and is only meant for vertical pipe extensions, I knew I bought this for nothing. Because that's not the kind of build I'm planning.
