Thees base plates are great. They will hold your truss (F34 in my case) securely without the worry that it will be knocked over. The base is about 30-35kg and 80cm wide to give good stability for vertical truss towers.
They are not too heavy to lift alone, but the handle area will kill your hands if you have to shift more than a couple over any distance! Trolley or table top lift with a 2nd helper recommended.
They are machine well for a variety of truss models, but considering they are just a sheet of steel, are a little pricey, however I would still recommend them.
Apart from being a two person lift (unless you are a real muscular guy) there is one silly design on this plate. There are 9 steel feet but they are not placed in the corners of the baseplate giving less stability and making (about 4 cm on every side) completely pointless. A 72x72cm would do the same job.
Apart from that this heavy plate is needed for placing 1.5m mover totems in crowds and for having 2+m mover totems on/near the stage.
I do think the price is ridiculous, if you have a metal shop maybe you could get it cheaper from them?
The Global Truss Baseplate Multi 80 x 80 base plate is very durable, but please bear in mind that it is extremely heavy and difficult to handle.l However, for high trussing with heavy effects on it there is no better base plate on the market.
Mind you back cos these are heavy 36 kgs of pure metal . That's the bad bit. The good bit is they are extremely sturdy for upright truss . Love the add on bits underneath which helps to lift them if they are lying on the floor.
Lots of holes in them for fitting half conicals ( that's what I did )
If fits my 290mm box Truss perfectly
