To me it's still amazing that a lot of manufacturers are still cutting corners regarding hardware, wether it's bridge systems, pickups or in this case a good set of tuners. The last couple of years I lean mostly to the Ibanez prestige guitars which are amazing and still in contrare to a lot of other brands are still relatively good prized. I understand that when you have a guitar with a locking nut it is not neccassary to have locking tuners, but when you have a trem system it is already a hassle to set it up properly. So why don't they throw in the locking version of a stock Gotoh tuner, it's a small upgrade that doesn't cost an arm or a leg. Regarding the tuners themself they are rock solid and for Ibanez guitars, direct replacements. Easy to install and the thumbwheel works great, better than sperzels for example, their thumbwheel cuts your fingers. I use them for many years now and can recommend them for anyone.

The Gotoh locking tuners are amazing, first time I put them on any of my guitars, and I think that soon all my guitars will have locking tuners.
In particular to these Gotoh, the installation was smooth, I choose this model as the mounting screw matches my HB SC Custom III, so it took me just a few minutes to remove the previous tuners and install these Gotoh, and only a few minutes to string the guitar. The tuning stability is fantastic, the key is very precise and allow minute adjustments to the string tuning.
A must on all guitars without locking tuners, and a great product at a nice price.

Ho acquistato più volte delle meccaniche autobloccanti della Gotho, che spiccano per la buona qualità ed il prezzo contenuto. E' da considerare che il nottolino di serraggio è color zinco (non oro), come si vede chiaramente nelle fotografie allegate al prodotto. Nel mio caso (chitarra Ibanez Artist) non è un problema, perchè pur essendo dorate le parti metalliche, i deviatori three sounds sono color zinco e quindi le meccaniche richiamano il dualismo di colori di questa chitarra, in altri casi, però', potrebbe essere un problema.

changement de mécanique sur un banjo Deering a fond ouvert,

Après avoir changé le chevalet pour baisser un tantinet l'action sur la touche et posé un capteur sous le chevalet pour rendre le banjo electro acoustique, je me suis décidé à changer les mécaniques originales pour des mécaniques à blocage, comme sur la majeure partie de mes guitares. Qualité exceptionnelle des GOTOH par rapport aux originales qui m'ont causé bien des soucis pour enlever les vis de fixation. Probablement faites en aluminium tricoté ou tout autre alliage de dernier choix. Sur des instruments de renommée certaine, c'est scandaleux. Enfin bref... Aucun problème pour les nouvelles venues de qualité. Cet après midi j'ai terminé par la confection d'un repose genou en bois massif... Posé nickel... Maintenant, j'arrête !!!
