Nice starting point
The wood is fine. The neck is a little thick (which I don't mind too much), so it may not appeal to everyone. However, the sound is flat and boring without much in terms of transients. This is obviously primarily an issue with the default pickups, which can easily be changed, so I'd urge anyone to do so.
