Good, contemporary bass sound.
The sounds is fairly good, but really can't compare to the vintage violin basses. The acoustic sound has almost none of the wooden charm of the original höfner basses, which also goes for the amplified sound. But still it has a nice, warm bass sound; good for many occasions.
