Lauten Audio Snare Mic

This is a nice and well built microphone, but it is in my opinion not useful as a snare mic and especially not in a live setting. I was looking for a more full sound than the SM57, but this microphone has very little rejection and picks up too much ambient noise. Not just hihat, cymbals and toms, but everything nearby. It means you will need to apply way to much EQ and gate to use the output/recording and the result is obviously not good. It is disappointing at this price point. They really should not label this as a snare mic. Not sure what else it would do well though. I am going back to the trusted sm57 or u441.
