This is a perfect stand for the main microphone array in front of an orchestra or large group, in case it needs to go high up. I also have the steel version of the same stand, but that one is very heavy. (The steel one is so heavy that you don't need sandbags on it, but that is about the only advantage.)

It may be advisable to fix some of the levers and connectors on top of the stand with gaffer's tape so that they will not vibrate and ring at certain frequencies. I also had to remove one inner cushioning spring because it would make a ringing sound sometimes.

Overall quality is great, like usual with Manfrotto. And of course it makes for a great lighting stand as well!

Lo sto usando per misure acustiche ed è stato testato per portare una sorgente dodecaedrica da 8kg a 4m! Eccellente! Difetti? Il peso veramente elevato e la mancanza di una borsa per il trasporto! Altrimenti è un investimento sicuro! Qui su thomann lo trovate a prezzo molto più basse che non in Italia!

Weer een statief waar de professionaliteit van Manfrotto van af spat. Uiterst licht en toch ruim 4.50 mtr. hoog. Ideaal voor wat lampjes ;).
