Most unique and versatile (synth) pedal ever
JThorn 21.02.2019
This pedal has by far the best sounds of any synth pedal. It is digital, but the sound is reminiscent of old-school analogue synths. I use it for playing ambient rock and chiptune-style music. This is also the only arpegiator where you can simply play chords or note runs, and it will track every note and create an arpeggio, matched to tap-tempo, from those notes, not from a predefined sequence or scale; amazing!!! Its tracking is mindblowing for chords, and ok for mono leads. It has to be first or early in line to track properly; I solved this by using the wet/dry option, so the wet/synth signal goes straight to the amp, and the dry signal goes to my other effects. This way I can use Enzo for synth backing tracks, that I can play lead guitar on top of, like having a synthplayer that plays along with whatever notes you play; fantastic for practice! This pedal definitely has a learning curve, due to all the features, filters, and hidden secondary functions. It's a shame the arpegiator tempo can only be set by tap-tempo, since you can't create really fast arpeggios with a precise tempo without using midi. Different filter settings can cause big differences in volume, so beware; I use a pedal with a volume knob after it, to make sure I tame it before the signal gets sent along. You can also turn the synth-part off, and use the built-in effects like ping-pong delay (with aged-tape style modulation), tremolo, ring-modulation, compressor, auto-wah, pitch-shifter, and pitch-shifted delays. I wrote this updated review because I actually didn't like this pedal at first, but over time it's become my absolute favorite effects pedal.
