Bought to update a cy13 crash/ride. On td17 I use it and an 18” 2 zone crash. On the module I used cy15 settings and it works a treat! Excellent as a large crash I’ll be ordering another 1 and the 15 inch version. Can’t fault triggering, it’s little bit louder than Roland but at this price it’s a no brainier. In a word Excellent

Ordered this one to replace the ride cymbal that came with my Alesis Crimson 2 SE, because that ride didn't pick up the bell trigger very well. This one does so much better! Actually, the whole cymbal is very responsive. I changed the settings in the module for Sensitivity to 8, the Threshold to 7, X-talk to 14 and the Curve to 6. In general, lower the volume of the cymbal because it is quite loud. Order the X model (CR-18X), that will work on the Alesis kits because it can be triggerd via the 1 cable B input on the cymbal. The rubber finish is quite nice, it's not as loud as other cymbals and feels very good, it leaves almost no marks after using it for 2 months. I found the stopper a bit odd, but it works. Also the choke doesn't seem to work, but that's not such an issue on a ride cymbal. Overall very happy with this really responsive cymbal, way better than the standard Alesis one.
