I'm a bit confused about the quality, as the red color goes off when I use the brush. I'm not sure how to comment on that. It's suitable for beginners and exercise, but it's not anything more.
It does indeed reduce the sound a lot! The compromise to the sound quality is not that big because you can play in an appartmet with an acoustic set without having to spend great amounds of money to a good e-kit. I use those with the Millenium QuiHeads and I have to admit that they sound a bit more compared to the toms/snare/kick drum, but it can be adjusted by either puting a piece of cloth on top of them or adding a gaffer tape below and at the top of the quiet drum heads to increase their volume.
Eitherway, my experience with them so far is good and I totally recommend for the ones that want to use in an appartment.
I bought these cymbals last year because my neighbors were complaining about the noise even though I played just half an hour 2 to 3 times a week.
One of the things that came to mind was that the Hihat is still a little too loud than I expected. The other cymbals aren’t that loud. Sound wise it’s not the best thing you can expect but it’s okay. The ride is a bit hard to play if you wanna play blast beats or a couple of fast single strokes on it but still it’s manageable.
Overall I’m very satisfied with these cymbals and can’t wait to buy a couple more to extend the set
