Mooer F15i Li Modeling Guitar SW

This little amp can do it all. Tuner, drum patterns, digital modelling. It's small light and rechargeable. When I first turned it on, some of the on screen text was still coming up in chinese (drum pattern info etc), but once I connected it to the app via bluetooth, the on screen language corrected itself. As mentioned in other reviews, the instruction sheet doesn't give much information. Just download the app, connect via bluetooth, and have a play with it. The tuner is very easy to use, when tuned, everything goes green. I've been using it with headphones a lot, and it sounds great. It's lighter than expected too, I can easily carry this around to lessons etc. I'd been using a tuner app and metronome app on my smartphone, etc. This thing you can just plug in your guitar, and the tuner and drum machine/metronome is already there. There's enough presets to play with as soon as you get it. It's all plastic, but if it was made of anything else, it would be a lot heavier.

Very pleasantly surprised. For me this little boutique-looking amp is all about inspiration. This is what it helps me with. There are 66 drum machines which record well with the looper; you can’t tweak them, but they are there for practice and for this they are very clear. It depends I guess on how creative you are, but I only use a few of them. These help me with timing and tempo ideas. Quite a lot of the effects are good, some better than others, but again, you can tweak away to your hearts content, though this is a rabbit hole for me and I don’t have the time. I choose a couple of settings I like, the “wah”setting is very good, and I play around with them. The clean guitar and US amp are very recordable too. I only use two settings for bass at present, but it’s great that you can play a bass through this thing. One tiny caveat though is that you can’t max it, as you will hear distortion. Still, the sound records really well and is very useable. I bought the foot switch, which you will need to start drum kit, recording and looper off etc. it’s just makes things easier but that is another £50 on top. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. A friend bought the black plastic casing version, it’s alright, but too plastic looking. I got the white one and it looks great sitting on a coffee table table to jam too! Your choice though.

Ich spiele seit über 50 Jahren Gitarre, habe von jeder großen Marke Gitarren, Amps, Effektgeräte und suchte nur nach einer kleinen Lösung für Zwischendurch. Fazit nach intensiven Tests: ich werde fast alles verkaufen, was ich bisher verwendet habe, denn dieses multifunktionale Gerät bringt zusammen mit dem optionalen F4 Wireless Footswitch so viele Vorteile, dass ich gar nicht mehr anders kann. Der Sound ist sehr sehr gut, sogar die Presets sind besser, als bei vielen anderen Herstellern. Ich habe nach meinem letzten Verkauf nur noch 2 Röhrenamps führender Marken, die aber auch nicht wirklich besser klingen - zumindest in dem Lautstärkebereich, der noch erträglich wäre. Aber der Reihe nach: ich verwende den F15i zum Üben zuhause mit den eingebauten Speakern, die sogar unserem Bassisten ein anerkenndes Grinsen ins Gesicht gedrückt haben, nachdem er die Bass Presets mit seinen Bass dort ausprobiert hat. Im Proberaum mit unserem Schlagzeuger ist es lauter, also habe ich zumindest einen, manchmal auch zwei aktive Monitore am Line Out angeschlossen - dadurch bleiben die internen Speaker eingeschaltet. Bei der anderen Band gehe ich via Headphone Out und DI ins Pult, dadurch sind die internen Speaker abgeschaltet. Vom Pult bekomme ich dann ein für mich angepasstes Monitorsignal zurück in meinen aktiven Monitor. Bei einem Auftritt wäre das nicht anders. Vorteile: ich benötige nur noch ein einziges Gerät, um bei allen Situationen und Bands die richtigen Sounds an der richtigen Stelle zu haben. Zusätzlich verwende ich nur den F4 Fußschalter von Mooer und ein vorgeschaltetes WAH / Volume Pedal. Damit kann ich alles abdecken, was mir nur irgendwie einfällt - inklisive Looper und auch Drum Machine mit 60 brauchbaren Drumsounds und Metronomen. Der Sound des kleinen Teils wird von allen Bandkollegen als sehr gut empfunden - besser als vorher wurde mir gesagt. Also packe ich die Röhrenamps und die beiden anderen Multieffekte (alles reichlich teuer) jetzt erst mal ein. Ich nutze natürlich auch die App um mir eigene Sounds zu basteln. Geht einfach und gut! Ach ja, ich spiele derzeit in 2 unterschiedlichen Coverbands, einmal internationales Rock / Pop von 1960 bis 1990 und dann in einer deutschen Tribut Band. Fazit: eine tolle Lösung mit mehr Möglichkeiten als erwartet.
