Neutrik NYS SPP-L1

Here's the short version: I can't recommend the NYS SPP-L1. Sure, it's cheap - but also too cheap. Buy beer instead. ;-)

Buying from the Neutrik brand I expected a decent build quality, but unfortunately that's not what you get with the NYS SPP-L1.

In various studios I've worked with 5 of these patchbays and 4 of them had issues right out of the box. I own one myself with a couple of annoyances..

Typically the problems are that the inputs are wonky and not aligned properly. Some inputs are even unusable as you cannot insert a regular jack without breaking the PCB or solderings.

On a positive note, at least most of it works and you can use some of it - but it's a gamle.

Save the money and buy something else, or save up and buy a more expensive model. The price of the NYS SPP-L1 is unfortunately too good to be true.
