Expensive but of a very high quality
These Optima strings- are OLD SCHOOL with the "thump sound" heard on records from the 1950´s and 1960´s.
They are in the samme league as: Pyramid- and in a lesser grade Thomastik-, nickel flatwound strings, on a round core.
Non the less, I love the sound of these old school sets, and have put each of them, on their own special bass.
Recommended for old school music or music which will benefit from the flatwounds warm full sound.
