Effect Pedal

  • Compressor
  • Switchable mode for guitar or bass
  • Bass Mode adapts all factory presets for use with an electric bass: adjusted dynamic range and attack characteristics
  • 6 Selectable compressor styles: 2x Optical, 1x VCA, 1x FET, 2x Dual-Band including LA2A Optical Compression for warm, smooth compression
  • 1176 Feedback FET Compression - extremely fast attack
  • LED Optical Compressor - similar concept to LA2A, but with faster, 'dirtier' attack and rackmount VCA-style compression (fast attack with hard knee)
  • Two selectable dual compressor modes can be used either serially, in parallel or as a band split
  • Additional compressor types available via the Neuro Editor
  • Direct access to all relevant compressor parameters
  • Auto Makeup Gain automatically increases or decreases the makeup gain, depending on the amount of compression applied
  • Look Ahead Compression creates an imperceptible latency in the signal that 'looks ahead' and allows for a particularly fast and smooth attack without additional distortion or artefacts
  • Side Chain Compression uses the signal from Input 2 to trigger the compression of the signal from Input 1
  • 3-Band parametric EQ or 8-band graphic EQ available via Neuro Editor
  • Adjustable noise gate
  • Neuro Desktop Editor or Neuro Mobile App to create, save and share presets
  • Full MIDI capabilities with the Source Audio Neuro Hub
  • Controls for threshold, ratio (tone), blend (attack), output (release)
  • Preset toggle switch for 6 onboard presets
  • ALT control key activates secondary function of the pots
  • Bypass footswitch
  • Status LEDs
  • Brushed anodised aluminium body
  • Universal bypass - selectable between analogue-buffered or relay-switched true bypass
  • 2 Stereo inputs: 6,3 mm TRS jack
  • 2 Stereo outputs: 6.3 mm TRS jack
  • 1 Mini USB port for connection to PC (Windows and Mac compatible)
  • 1 Control input for controlling up to four parameters with an external expression pedal: 3.5 mm jack
  • Mains adapter connection: Hollow female plug 5.5 x 2.1 mm (negative pole inside)
  • Power supply via 9 V DC mains adapter
  • Power consumption: 165 mA
  • Dimensions (L x W x H) : 114 x 70 x 51 mm
  • Incl. power supply unit

Super crispy kompressor pedal.
Manh 25.10.2022
Fantastisk kompressor.

I bought it for recording bass at home, so i have access to the computer all the time when using this pedal. I installed the neuro app on windows and there was no problem. For community plugins you need a neuro account though.

It is like having my favourite and best sounding compressor plugins in a pedal with on the fly adjustment capbility and possibility to take these with me wherever i go. That is exactly what i wanted. On top of that there are compressor models that i didn't have experience with. It is like a lesson of compressor types and their characterisitcs.
Look and build quality is flawless despite the pedal being mad in china.
All necessary cables and gimmicks are included i.e. power source, usb cable, rubber feet...
The layout of the control is a compromise between having many options but not to overload the pedal. The result is not optimal för either minimalistic purists nor the all control under the fingertips type of people. Compare it with the newer cali or empress kompresors that have 6 nobs or more but neither have stereo capability, nor dual band compression nor choice of different compression engines.

The LED that indicates the amount of compression is mildly helpfull but encourages me to actually use my ears. In contrast with my mxr bass compressor i alwas look att the LED ribbon and think 10 db gain reduction.. isn't that a bit much, even though it sounds fine.
This will not happen with the Atlas.

Learning the pedal takes 1 min, learning the app--- a little longer. If you are willing to put in this small effort and you have the ability to adjust the things you need to adjust you will be happy. There are manuals and videos that will help you get the most out of the pedal.

Don't forget to put the pedal inte bass mode (hold alternate when starting up). It will remember this choice so you only have to do it once.

I would recommend for anyone that appreciates flexibility and is not thrown off by the layout.

The most versatile compressor pedal
dragoje 15.09.2025
I understand people who detest menu-diving and prefer simplicity, and this pedal is probably NOT for everyone. But I have to say that even the on-board factory options are great out of the box, especially once you select a prefered mode (in my case the bass mode).

The biggest suprise for me is the fact that they didn't sacrifice sound quality by adding a ridiculous depth to this compressor. The digital versatility is unmatched, yet the sound somehow feels like a quality rack compressor. The fact you can store so many different compressor presets and recall them from an external source, while having the option of an external sidechain control is something which really sets this thing aside.

A very powerful tool for a live gig or studio use, but also a great learning tool if you want to understand different types of compression and hear how they work.

Chaud, profond, discret.
Saturn-Y 18.07.2022
