Superlux HD-669

I required a pair of headphones for rehearsal. Primarily to achieve reduction of acoustic drum levels due to hearing protection without using earplugs which muffle the sound. At the same time I need a realistic and usable frequency response for vocals and guitar without the various "bass boost" og "trebly harshness" characteristics that seem to characterize cheaper headphones. The HD-669 is surprisingly good considering the price. Obviously the look is plastic like, but as someone valuing function over looks, it solves the need in question perfectly. And using circumaural headphones is less fatiqueing than using in-ears.
It is a plus that a damaged cable can be replaced, although the use of a mini-connector is a minus as this is less common and probably will increase the price of a substitute cable. Anyway, if that situation arises the headphone price range will allow for substitution of the whole set. Recommended.

I bought these in december 2018 and have used them for music production and recording ever since. These have been my only pair since then and I still use them.

The leather on the ears is starting to crack and the rubber around the cable is a bit broken, but after more than 6 years of usage, I really can't complain.

These headphones are light and because of the space on top, it doesn't hurt to wear them, even for longer sessions - not in my opinion at least. This is my first and only time reviewing a product - I thought it would make sense that i did it this these.

The sound- and build quality could probably be better, but for this price, I don't see anything near competing. Again, I wouldn't have kept them for this long if they didn't both sound good and last a long time. Just know that you won't get some heavy duty metal headphones.

Pretty sure I will buy them again, once they actually do break apart, but who knows how long that will take.
