Only use this for weak signals

I planned on using this on a small speaker setup, to combine chromecast audio with another source.

I'm mentioning the chromecast audio, to give people an idea about how weak this device is.
30% volume of the chromecast audio, in non-hifi (without full dynamic range) mode is the maximum input this MiniMix can handle...
Every device I've plugged into CH1 clips it on max volume (turning the volume knobs doesn't affect anything)

If your sources is a fixed volume, sure, this is fine. If you plan on using this as a setup where you rely on your audio sources volume control. Then no, stay away, I'm throwing this in the trash once I get another small mixer to hide in this setup.

The good thing is, it feels like good built quality, and it's compact, which is good for hidden permanent installations

good overall quality but unusable

The quality of this little mixer is very good for the price level. High quality knobs and good sound quality for channel 2, but the input level for channel 1 is so high that it distorts any line input it receives, rendering it unusable for me. This isn't mentioned anywhere on the website or on the packaging. This definitely might have its uses for some people, but I have no use for it.

Works fine but has some quirks

EDIT: After some occasional use, I left it powered off for a month or so only to come back to a faulty channel 1 output. It powers on, works fine for 10 seconds and then slowly fades out until channel 1 stops working completely so in short an AliExpress cheap mixer works better than this.

OLD EVALUATION: First of all it's heavier and larger than I imagined which for some is not a big deal but honestly it's a bit heavy for what it is. That said the sound quality can be really good and I emphasize the "can be" since some tweaking is required or else it will sound distorted and noisy.

To get the best quality you absolutely need to use the ground cable and lower the volume on channel 1 connected device (not the mixer) to 30% while only going 50% on the mixer itself, this will remove any background noise while boosting the volume nicely. If you plug in already hot output to the channel 1 it will be very loud and distorted since it was designed with mic in mind. The channel 2 is quieter so you can go as high as 70% on the mixer without distortion however I noticed that if you go well over 70% it starts to distort badly.

So in short use your synth/input volume knobs instead of the mixer and you will be fine.

I use it for guitar practice along backing tracks through my headphones.
Simple use, solid metal construction, nice sound. Stereo inputs/outputs.
If you are looking for a simple mixer, this little one will do the job and will costs you as much as a bottle of scotch ;) ,
