I got this light for my Mackie Onyx that lives under my computer monitor. In the evenings, in a darker room it can be difficult to see whats going on when the monitor light overpowers the mixer.
This fits the bill perfectly and has stayed tight and secure when I have moved it. I was a little worried about it moving about but its quite stable!
Its not the most brilliantly blinding light but I flick it on to make adjustments on the channels I need and then turn it off and forget its there until the next time I need it. Cant say more than that - it works great when needed and doesnt get in the way when I dont!
It doesnt cast the widest beam but I can easily see groups of 6 channels with the height I have it. Cheap as chips and a great performer!
It works as a lamp. Needs securing to my mixer with electrical tape as it moves easily otherwise. On/off button is a bit overly sensitive. I'm unsure if a more expensive one would be any better, but I think this will probably be fine.
This is a nice little light that is easy to twist around to any desired angle. It is bright too and we even used it to light performers when the stage lights were slightly lacking! The switch is an important feature (not all desk lights have this). I use this with a Mackie 1642VLZ mixer. You will need a 12V BNC connector on your mixer .
It is not easy to find a gooseneck lamp that is stable on the console. This one is a bit wobbly on my Studiolive 24 III. Great Light and flexibility, but I've seen better BNC connectors out there.
This is a decent light, but the fitting is extremely loose so the unit just spins in the socket. I'm using it on a PreSonus StudioLive desk. It becomes very annoying and unusable. I will return it and try another brand.
Use: on my Behringer 1 rack unit wide mixer.
Pros: decently bright without being dazzling, satisfactory beam pattern, on off switch
Cons: moves around quite easily on its base
Does exactly what I want it to do. Recommended
The light output is pretty solid as it is led lights. The problem comes from using this in an upright mixer. The gooseneck lamp can't be tightened into a position and therefore falls towards gravity direction.
Good quality product. Gooseneck is decently solid, holding its position perfectly. The only disappointment is BNC connector is too loose. If you have a mixing desk where the BNC input is allocated at an angle, do not expect it to stay in place. As a result renders the gooseneck completely pointless. A bit of a shame for such a product.
