Working as expected, but lacking output

I am using this to tap the microphone signal directly before sending it to the audio interface to make a zero latency monitor mix when recording.
Seems solid and is easy to use - knobs and construction of good quality, but it is not possible to get the desired output level. (for my taste)

Jeg bruger den hver gang vi øver og er ude at spille.
Giver mig god lyd af min egen vokal og indstilles nemt, så jeg kan høre hvad de andre i bandet laver.

Really good, compact headphone amplifier. It has jack and XLR input and also one XLR output which is perfect for stages as you can use it as monitor and continue the line into the next one without any problem. I use it as in-ear monitor + metronome. Yes you can have 2 things in at once which is pretty cool for me. You also have jack and aux output for headphones. You can also change output signal to MONO or STEREO which help's me a lot with metronome because it has mono output. There is actually no bad things about this amplifier. It is very compact so you can store it anywhere you want. It a must-have for every drummer who hits the drums hard ;) .

This thing is useless for amplification

I bought this hoping to amplify my headphones instead of having to adjust the volume on my amp when I practiced later in the evening.
This unit did absolutely nothing to amplify the signal: whatever goes into the unit comes out of the unit at the exact same level, with no perceivable amplification taking place whatsoever.
The unit has great build quality and it's cool that it has several input and output options, but it doesn't actually amplify anything.

Thankfully it's not an expensive product, so I couldn't get too upset about it not working correctly. I like to think that I simply "got a dud" but if this product works "as intended" then I'd recommend to stay away from this Headphone "Non-Amplifier" and get something else.

Such a disappointment for such a promising product.
