Have used Bachs 2G and 1.5G for a long time now and changed the 1.5 to Wicks 1AL for about a year ago. Now I have Wicks 7CS with my King 3BSS and haven't touched Bachs or another (expect Conns vintage mouthpiece) brands after Wicks first try.
What I can say about Wicks mouthpiece his that they really fits my lips and make the embouchure much better and easier.
Only thing that bugged me for start was the Wicks rim that changed much sharper from Bachs and noticed that in long sessions my lips got tired much quicker than with Bachs or any other brand that has this U-shape rims. Still think that I could play lingers periods with Bachs but the benefits from Wicks are too great to change back.
After a first weeks with this have to say Im more than pleased even with this size mouthpiece and what makes it even more sweeter is the fact that I have the same attack area with this than the Wicks 7CS so the doubling with my tenor just came much easier.
With Wicks I got a better, much serious and very versatile bass bone sound. With the smaller Wick the dynamics with 3B is unbelievable and now with the perfect MP and horn only limit to success is myself. With bigger Wicks I can get better dynamics and easier range also.
