Feels like a more universal and familiar option compared to Elgato’s second model, which mounts from below. Easy to assemble, holds the microphone perfectly. I’ve been streaming and moving it around for 2+ hours every day for the past six months or more. The main joint loosened a bit over time, but it was easily tightened with a regular screwdriver. Now there’s one more minor unwanted movement, but I can’t reach the tightening screw because the cap comes off in a not-so-obvious way.
Otherwise, based on my experience with different mic arms, this one holds really well, clamps firmly to the desk, and the desk mount has never come loose. The metal parts are heavy, the whole build feels solid—not plastic at all—and gives the impression of a sturdy, well-made steel holder.
