Jeg har været gennem mange forskællige strenge (både mærker og tykkelse). Men jeg har endelig fundet de rigtige til min tunge dødsmetal (B standart på en 6 strenget), noget af det bedste er at den tredje streng er wound. Kan klart anbefale.

As a deathcore enthusiast, I recently tried out the Ernie Ball 2214 Mammoth Slinky .012-.062 strings, and I am thrilled with the results. These strings are specifically designed for heavier genres and excel in drop C and lower tunings, making them a top choice for players who enjoy mid-2000s deathcore sounds.

The first thing I noticed about these strings was their excellent playability. The gauge is perfectly suited for the heavy riffing and intricate chugging that deathcore often demands. The tension feels just right, providing a balanced response between tightness and ease of bending. Whether you're shredding through blistering breakdowns or executing lightning-fast tremolo picking, these strings respond beautifully.

One standout feature of the Ernie Ball 2214 Mammoth Slinky strings is their tonal quality. The thicker gauge, combined with the carefully chosen materials, results in a powerful and aggressive sound. Overall, this set is perfect for low tunings. I used it on my brand new LTD H3-1000 See Thru Purple and found out that the strings did their job perfectly on drop B tuning. It's a bit too big for drop B imo, the strings feel too tight but they do the job perfectly.

But after a few weeks, little by little I started feeling like something was off. After investigating the issue, I realized that the first two low strings (.62 and .44) were too big for the nut and they were standing higher on the fretboard than they should which made it almost impossible to get a proper/stable note when pressing the strings down.

Check your nut before you buy the set and see if they will fit perfectly. They stay in tune but the tension you need to apply on strings might result in shifts in the notes.
