Haven't had much use with them yet, but they seem to be good quality. I bought these to replace the stock tuners on the HB TE-62 DB and needed to ream/drill the headstock to approx 9mm. I started with a tapered ream and then drilled out carefully with a 9mm hss bit in reverse.
It is also worth mentioning that I had to send back the first set of tuners because they were reversed.
These seem really well made and look really nice quality. They are a tiny bit stiff but nothing a few turns don’t sort out. They are definitely an upgrade to stock standard tuners you get on Harley Benton’s. Only odd thing is they are not a drop in on a Harley Benton guitar I assumed they would all have the same bore hole. So you will need to widen the hole with a reamer.
But for the price if your looking for a locking tuner on a budget then these are worth a purchase.
Very nice locking tuners in vintage KLuson style.
I replaced the original tuners (also Kluson style but not locking) with this set to get more tuning stability on my HB Strat.
The result is what I wanted.
The only remark is that you have to drill a bigger bore (8,5 - 9 mm) !
And very satisfied with such a democratic price ! ! !
Bought these to compliment a CV strat project as the available alternative at the time of purchase was that 'tighten the tuner' locking system which honestly makes no sense to me.
Worked incredibly well when I eventually got it installed but if you're putting this in an older CV Squier like me you might find that you'll have to file/shave the edges of each peg to get a proper fit ... or deal with tight tuners when you try cramming them in.
