The Studio tenor recorder is well suited to playing in an ensemble either as a medium voice, or as the first in a low quartet (tenor to sub-bass). The recorder is gaining more and more in popularity these days, simply because of the pleasant sounds it produces.
This key-less tenor is relatively easy to get to grip, in particular for the little finger at the bottom

This is a high quality tenor recorder that speaks well in all registers. It has a very vibrant and warm tone throughout all its registers. The lowest notes are easily attained due to the positionable boot joint. I also appreciate that the holes are shaped to make for easier playing without overly stretching one's fingers.
Received my Kung tenor quickly and in good shape even though it had to travel across the pond to the US. I'm still in the breaking in period, but so far, I love it. The instrument itself is beautiful and very well built. It has a beautiful deep sound, and the volume is louder than my old Dolmetsch plastic tenor which will be good if I want to play it for a solo or accompaniment in church. The finger stretch is manageable as I did not want keys at this time. No regrets with my purchase.
