I use it as a part of my “custom” desk unit in my Dawless synth setup. I combined it with the U3 unit to make a compact solution for my patchbay, 19" mixer, and as a “stand” for my pedals. The U2 unit houses a patchbay and a mixer, with five pedals on top of it. The U3 unit is screwed to the back to hide all the cables and pedal power supply, and also serves as a stand for the other five pedals. Then I just run all the pedals and synth outputs/inputs to the patchbay and/or mixer. Just add some rubber case feet on the bottom, one blank U1 panel in the back to make it more rugged, and you've got yourself a great solution as a center point for routing all of your effects and synths... for like 30-40€ total. With some creativity, you can't beat that :)
