Perfect for the RC-505mkII
Armaldo 03.11.2024
Works perfectly with the RC-505mkII using any standard 5V battery pack! I tested on a robust battery pack that supports voltage options ranging from 5V - 20V, and also tested on an older battery pack that supports 5V @ 3A over a USB-A port. The Loop Station powered right up with no hiccups! Awesome product.

Does not work with power bank + daisy chain combination to power a pedal board
I like cheap gears with good sound 25.04.2025
I have another product from Boston (Boston Power Converter USB auf 9V/1A) but since it's output was 1A I purchased this one since it's output is 3A. When I plugged this to a power bank via daisy chain, it couldn't powered 5 pedals under 1A (Boss IR-2, Boss RV-200, Boss JB-2, TC Electronic Polytune 3, and Tc Electronic Mimiq ~675 mAh)

But the Boston one was able to do the job with the same power bank.

With a phone charger + daisy chain it works perfectly, but that is not the use case I want to achieve.

Great(ish)

It’s perfect for most people, however. It can’t be used with the JOYO noise suppressor because it draws too much amperage. But for powering via power banks, it’s perfect.

Excellent for high power pedals — with a twist
terror busker 11.03.2026
Built a battery powered pedal board. One pedal draws a ridiculous 1A at 9V. No pedal power source will give you that, let alone battery powered ones. This device will—if the USB power source you connect it to delivers 9V.

Unfortunately USB power source and battery makers rarely report which power modes their devices support. 9V is not uncommon but in case it is not supported by the power source the PowerTip will shine a green light as if it’s operating, but it won’t deliver power to the connected pedal.

Still, for me it’s the gamechanger that allowed me to build my mobile pedal board.
