Close to SM58
Used this for backup vocals so far (I am a drummer) and with some very slight EQ it is literally impossible to tell the difference between this and SM58 in its sound. Of course the design is weaker and less sturdy, but just be careful to not drop it and you will have a great vocal mic for a bargain.

Performs great, comparable to Shure Beta 58A
The microphone has great clarity and the sound signature is around 95% identical to the Shure Beta 58A. The t.bone MB85 Beta has standard measurements and feels like great quality. I don't use mine on stages though (as I'm no longer performing), but for my portable home studio, which is used for smaller productions, and thus benefits from dynamic mics.
Although this microphone has been very good for my voice, I've delegated it to record my acoustic guitar while a sE v7 is now my main microphone for vocals in this portable setup. The MB85 Beta does a great job in both places - and it's very no nonsense.
I do miss an on/off switch, but I also realize that's not for all - i.e. performing artists often prefer without, so they don't accidentally hit the switch on stage.
For the small price, this microphone is an absolute no brainer, and I haven't come across anything at this price range which can compete.

Big value for the money
Very clear sound, good output and low acoustic / touch noise (sound from pa and noise through the mike stand - from floor etc.)
This is my favorit lowcost mike on the market. Very much close to the real thing from Shure :-)

Super god all-around mic.
Meget positivt overrasket over kvaliteten. Minder utroligt meget om en sure beta. Lyder rigtig godt til prisen, og virker meget robust. Kommer i hardcase.

God kopi og erstatning for SM58
Det er ikke en SM58 Beta, men den lyder tilgengæld helt fint og kan få det samme ud som ved brug af en rigtig SM58.
Jeg er normalt kræsen hvad angår kopier af SM58'eren, det er typisk en mikrofon størstedelen af kopierne ikke kan ramme korrekt, men som skrevet, så er denne her ikke et dårligt alternativ!
