Fender Tex-Mex Telecaster Set

If you are looking for classic, “real” telly sound, these PUs are perfect, just with a little more bite than more vintage styled ones. And of course you take them with all the pros and cons of the typical Fender PUs, whatever you think is good and/or bad with the typical Fender PUs. Personally I love the neck and middle position in clean mode while bridge and middle sound good to me in overdrive. And of course they are not noiseless, but you know that already.
There is though a negative thing to say; after almost 75 years Fender has not yet learned how long the cables have to be: they are too short. I mean… c’mon guys, 5 cm more (whatever it is in gerbil’s nostrils or whatever you call it in the Imperial System), how difficult can it be?? Not a big problem, you just solder some more while you’re mounting them, but… seriously, guys, keep your things together.

In conclusion: excellent product if you’re looking for “that” original Telly sound and they cost even less than half of the “boutique” replicas.
