It took me two attempts

The unlucky Prestige owner 06.12.2025

I hate to be one who has to destroy the otherwise perfect rating, but either I'm the most unlucky Prestige owner, or quality control is severely lacking somewhere.

It took me two attempts to land a proper one. The first one was misaligned in the neck pocket, and should never have left the factory. The setup was way off as a result. I returned it and got a refund.

Some months passed and I decided to try one again. This time the neck sat properly in the joint, but then it had fret sprouts. I decided to have a professional guitar tech set it up with new strings and A standard tuning, and had him fix the fret sprouts.

After that the guitar is now perfect. A solid 5 all around, but my score has to reflect the products I received from Thomann.

The pickups are not bad at all, but I could see myself replace them eventually due to curiosity.

Just perfect!!!

Amazing tones,really nice built quality, just two minor color imperfections but nothing to complain honestly.
I'll probably go with elixir strings since you don't want to change very often the strings on this guitar.
Im 5'8'' and with not very big hands and it just felt perfect from the beginning.
From blues to rock to 80's to prog metal and acoustic tones it felt really nice and comfortable even with the 27'' scale length. Plus after like 5hours of playing i change to my fender 2010 american stat and it felt like a toy...i was like 5-10% better on my playing. Of course you need sometime to get comfortable depending on your technique and hand size.
The color in so nice...love that deep blue...sometimes the guitar looks blue some others almost black depending from the light of course.
I have a Schecter Hellraiser,the strat i mentioned and one indonesian rg and one korean js so i think that guitar is going to be my favourite one.
Thanks also to Thomann for the help with some issues.

Just insanely amazing

Best year purchase. The quality of the guitar is just in another level. I am very comfortable with my Shecter and I will never replace it, but I wanted to try high Ibanez quality. Although the sound to me personally is different, the design, the materials, the types of wood, they make this guitar a Prestige!! The hardcase amazing. The extra mms to the fret board give you great access and heavy tone. The bridge and tremolo, just perfect. 9.5 out of 10! Thank you so much Thomann Germany. The wait was worth it.

I have this guitar for a year now. (yes i did changed the pickucks to M7s) but still this is by far my favoritre 7 string of my collection
