I saw a few good players on YouTube telling that the Sire H7 is a great guitar. Hmm can it really be true? Did they get money to say that?
Here is what I think:
* Really good tuners and the neck/body construction seems stable. When I wake up the neck morning the strings are almost in tune. This is a really good sign. Also the bridge and stop-bar is good quality.
* Nice working area. Ebony fretboard with big fat Gibson-like frets and it is in level. What more do you want? I did polish the frets and fret ends with 0000 steel wool and polish paste to make everything even more smooth.
* Very nice body construction adds to great sustain and clear tones. Better than the contesters. Bravo Sire.
* The pickups. To my likings the neck pickup is not clear enough. So I have installed a Duncan Jazz Pickup (SH-2) and it sounds wonderful. The bridge pickup is great.
I am trying to understand why the rating of this guitar is only 4.3? When I think it should be at least 5 stars. I think that the quality control could be better. The first Sire H7 I received had a problem with the wiring. It did not work and I had to return it pretty annoying. But if you are able yourself to fine-tune the nut, polish fret ends, fix a loose screw with superglue and baking soda, do your own setup etc. Then you got yourself a contender eying the upper classes. Bravo Sire.
