Does what it's supposed to... and nothing else... and it's huge

So the headline might not make sense. Let me explain.
My needs changed. I need 12 inputs and 4 outputs.
I was hoping that inside the patch bay there are inputs and outputs connected by a cable, hence the size and it would only require unscrewing the front and back and flipping the connectors.
Unfortunately, they're connected through a PCB, so it's not an easy swap.
But if it's a PCB, it's unnecessarily deep for that. It could have been half or even a third of the depth and it would have still worked.
Like almost everyone else I use this to allow easy access to the XLR ins and outs on the back of my rack mixer from the front panel. It does the job perfectly and it's very reasonably priced.
