I purchased this bass with hope it may be around the level of a Sire or Squier but it was horrible! The frets were so sharp they cut my finger, the nuts holding the tuning pegs were loose and the screws on the back of the pegs had their heads stripped so a screwdriver could tighten them. There was so much electrical noise coming through the pickups, even with both on full volume or the P pickup solo that the bass was not playable. I tried to rectify this by adding shielding tape inside the control cavity and grounding everything. It was significantly better but still worse than any bass I've heard before. Also the pickup configuration is not as shown on this website or on Spector's website. The P pickup is reversed and to me that just looks weird. After all this I contacted Thomann and because I added shielding tape they would not take it back. They offered me a small refund instead. Very frustrating!
