Fine cables for some things

I wouldn't base my whole studio on these cables. They are thin, and not very robust. I'm sure they allow a lot more noise to get into the signal chain, compared with high quality cables.

BUT I give them 5 stars because they are cheap, and work well in many situations.

I use them with line level instruments, that has a more "robust" signal than e.g., say, a single coil guitar like a telecaster or strat. Later I will invest in more reliable cables, if needed. But right now, these cables allow me to connect a cool setup of old keyboard instruments and effects.

3 out of 6 cables turned out to be faulty AFTER REGULAR USE

Unfortunately, after several uses (around 10-15 rental gigs for each of the cables), 3 out of 6 cables failed a cable test. My Behringer CT100 cable tester shows that the faulty cables have intermittent connection when you touch the XLR connectors in the tester gently. I never tested the cables when they arrived, so I presume this was due to normal wear. All the three of my faulty cables have no signs of external wear (no cuts or so). I discovered that one of the cables was faulty when a DI-box failed to run when powered by a mixing console phantom power supplied through one of these cables, so I did a quick test and found out the result above.

They are patch cables. The colored cables were very handy while trying to distinguish the different cables.

Achtung wenn man beim Rack die Türen zumachen will und die Kabel stecken lassen will,..., diese Kabel sind ziemlich "Lang" am Schaft
