This is a solid, well-made, reliable case. It is not made for air travel, but the outer shell will definitely protect your sensitive gear from damage in the course of gigging and transportation. It is the inner padding that could use some improvement. They are okay, but the egg-carton style top is not suitable for some types of equipment, and pieces could move around and damaged each other. The preset squares on the sponge are intended for creating a custom inserts, but they are not the best design nor easy to use, nor suitable for all types of equipment.
I would suggest providing foam for both the bottom and the top sections, plus an egg-carton sponge. The foam at the top and bottom sections should comprise two layers. The outer layer should be glued or firmly attached to the case, while the inner layer should be easy to cut into custom shapes. After cutting, the inner layer can then be glued to the outer layer. This allows for many more options in terms of the size and shape of the equipment, and also for better security. For example, you could create custom holes for a Sennheiser transmitter and a receiver unit. This would hold the carious units firmly in place.
