A little surprise for that price!

At first time, I have searched a compact 10" active box for small events and for ceremony pa, where the design and carriage are the most important. After a few days of searching, I found this little gem. I gonna be honest... For this price, this thing is far superior! Starting with the package quality, the docs, the weight and the final assembly, this little box is a damn good deal. For the sound quality, if you running under clip or limit, I do not have a bad word (ok, its not a high end quality) it does what it has to. Pair a sub with low-cut around 100Hz, and they can supply a 100 persons event! DSP menu is almost the same, what you find in the EV ZLX series... interesting:) really good stuff! Closing my words: design is awesome, weight is light, assembly and parts quality is ok and if you not a dB hunter the sound quality is absolutely correct. But the most important question: how the hack is this deal wort for THOMANN????? Recommened, I gonna order the 12" models too :D

Overtreft verwachtingen,

Allereerst een prima levering van Thomann,
de doos was op de hoeken beschadigd. Maar de speaker zat goed verpakt tussen het piepschuim, dus geen probleem.

De speaker heeft een handig DSP scherm met veel opties. Zoals een delay en een low-cut. Ook handig zijn de 2 signaal-ingangen die tegelijk bruikbaar zijn.

Toppunten:
- De afwerking is prima, de buitenkant voelt stevig aan. (Kan wel tegen een stootje)
- 2 signaal-ingangen.
- DSP scherm.
- Hard volume en genoeg bass.

Minpunten:
- Wanneer je de DSP op 0DB zet is er een ruis te horen. Wanneer je muziek afspeelt op voldoende volume afspeelt overstemt dit de ruis.
- Na 3 weken is er een rubberen strip aan de binnenkant van de grill los gekomen. (Is weer vast te lijmen)

Dus kortom de speaker is zeker het geld waard en overtreft je verwachtingen, ik kijk er na uit om een 2e speaker erbij aan te schaffen.

Perfect Sound System!

Our band was looking for something small and light weight for smaller gigs. The BOX was a good choice because of the price and the quality ratio. We bought 2 for the vocals and it works perfect even playing outside at a picnic and at a local pub. We expected a good quality for this price and we were still surprised how good they are.

We are planning to buy another one to use for a monitor. They are loud enough and have a good quality sound. Alot of people had more praise for our show and it was all due to the sound system.

We have 2 guitars, base and drums and the instruments were pretty loud yet the vocal was still clear and went over the music. For now we have great experience with this and have nothing but praise. Of course due to the size they can only go to a certain level of loudness but the best thing is they are easy to handle and carry arround, they are cheap and have a quality sound for the power they produce. If you are aiming higher than this, they are still probably best choice for monitoring.

Plenty powerful.

Unboxed and straight to its first performance for 32 people, in a small bar.
I'm a solo performer with big variation in my repertoire, all handled easily by my new dsp 110. Microphone is taken straight into the dsp110 with no eq needed, a sweet vocals with my favourite old Japanese mic. My old Gretch jaz guitar needs a small amount of eq, it only has an on board volume control, before the dsp110, but very little eq needed, all sounding sweet and powerful.
I like the bass cut feature on the dsp110, it seems accurate, set at 100 hz doing the job perfectly.
The controls are easy to use and work well, the actual dsp110 is pretty handsome looking and light enough to carry a good distance, some of my gigs are up flights of stairs, so the weight and size of this speaker are an attraction, plus the fact that my hands and fingers stay agile after the carry and setup. A big plus for any musician. Over all, a powerful and much lighter alternative to my previous 5 year old machine which cost much more.
It's good that Thomann do their range of musical gear which I'm finding so very reliable and competitively priced.
